Veracode's Hackathon

Veracode's Hackathon is a three-day event that focuses on learning, innovation and collaboration. It’s an opportunity to explore, connect, learn, create and try new things. We find problems and find creative ways to solve it. We make something better than it was yesterday, or make something new that didn’t even exist yesterday. It's also one of the unique ways we contribute to the community and a variety of charity programs.

Hackathon Theme 2023

This year's theme is VIKINGS! I was in charge of designing our sweatshirts for our hackathon event as well as the branding.

Hackathon Theme 2022

In the beginning of 2022, I was given the opportunity to create the artistic branding and theme of hackathon! The theme was an art museum featuring an art heist. I designed the t-shirt, the logos, created the brand colors and font pairings, and even a hackathon puzzle.

I wanted to create a modern museum concept that housed artwork from prior hackathons. The logo is a play on simple shapes that come together harmoniously
through flow and rhythm. Below are the logos, color scheme (reference to Van Gogh; one of my favorite artists of all time), and a node to Mondrian paintings
which we later on created our own version for a hackathon puzzle, and the merch everyone at the company got during hackathon.

FINAL DESIGNS / MERCH:
Other members of the amazing hackathon team made the other merch items such as the pamphlet, stickers, and beanie!
The final shirt itself even contains a puzzle to be solved!

Hackathon Patches

In 2020, I designed these patches for a charity hack where we raised $800 towards a prior Veracoder's memorial fund, the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation, and for the Stony Brook Middle School. Veracode generously matched this amount for a total of $1600! Other than for the purpose of charity, these were made to cover up an old logo on many Veracoder's backbacks.
